The Gabriel Foundation and Little Africa Development are located in the highway area and are fundraiser for the HIV orphans/communities located in Kwazulu Natal. Our prototype project is located in Nazareth community centre a mere 7.5 kilometers outside of Pinetown.

The Gabriel Foundation is busy with a number of projects; 300 community care centres in KZN for HIV+ communities. These communities are mainly in the rural areas and do not have medical assistance or transportation to hospitals. At the moment we find that at least one generation has been lost and therefore the children of these families end up being orphans still staying in the community, some of which are being cared for by child headed households who are no older than 12 years. The community care centres will comprise of; crèche, kitchen, skills development centres as well as medical centres with satellite clinics branching into the area in order to get the medical attention to the people who are unable to get to the medical centres. People who are being trained as nurses and nursing aids are from the communities and will be fully trained nurses with the sole purpose of nursing their community. These centres will become self-sustainable after some time and in due course be funded by the government

All funding / donations are greatly appreciated and we are also in need of various items ranging from: Cots, prams, baby clothes, nappies, linen, duvets, baby blankets, baby milk, fresh fruit and vegetables as well as rice, mielie meal, beans, all kinds of office equipment from computers to desks etc. we are also in need of various medical equipment ranging from syringes, needles, swabs, larger equipment like glucometers and blood pressure monitors etc.

We have various methods of assistance for the individual:
Donations of R200.00
Large donations to assist with the purchase of child care homes for the orphans as well as the erection of the community centres.
Sponsor a child for R400.00 per month over a one-year period. This provides them with school clothes stationary and food each month.

In addition, we find there is a real need for child care homes which The Gabriel Foundation are looking for support in purchasing premises to house such children.

e are also in desperate need of a vehicle to get us into these area's as we are finding it quite a problem w.r.t delivering food stuff, equipment, clothing etc..

The initial cost to erect a community care centre is +- R600, 000.00 and sustainability on a monthly basis of
R100, 000.00 per month per community care centre.
